Do You Need Sunscreen on Cloudy Days?

Do you use sunscreen only on sunny days or during outdoor activities? UV rays can still reach your skin on cloudy days. Bright sunlight is not the only sign that you need sun protection.

Clouds Do Not Block All UV Rays

Some UV rays pass through clouds. Some UVA rays can also pass through window glass. This means you may be exposed while driving or spending time near a sunny window. Over time, repeated UV exposure can contribute to wrinkles and dark spots.

Make Sunscreen Part of Your Morning Routine

On days when you go outside, use SPF30 or higher on skin not covered by clothing. Choose a sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Apply enough to cover your skin evenly. Remember your ears and neck. Reapply about every two hours outdoors. For swimming or activities that make you sweat, choose a water-resistant sunscreen. Reapply as directed. Use shade, hats, and clothing for extra protection.

CIVASAN Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++

CIVASAN Sunscreen is labeled SPF50+ PA++++. It also contains niacinamide and adenosine. Apply it after skincare and before makeup. The product page recommends applying it 30 minutes before UV exposure. A high SPF does not replace reapplication. Choose a sunscreen that suits your skin and use it regularly.
